Vehicle Wraps & Graphics in Orange County

We've been printing and installing vehicle wraps in Orange County since 1979. Every install happens in our climate-controlled bay — 68-72°F, low humidity — because vinyl adhesion and conformability depend on temperature. We use 3M IJ180Cv3 and Avery MPI 1105 cast films with matched overlaminates, and every panel gets post-heated and edge-sealed before the vehicle leaves our shop.

What You Get at Forest Printing

Climate-Controlled Installation

Our install bay is held at 68-72°F year-round. Vinyl applied outside this range develops adhesion failures within months. Temperature-controlled wrapping means your panels stay down.

Post-Heat & Edge Seal

Every edge, recess, and compound curve gets post-heated to activate 3M adhesive memory. Edges are sealed with primer where needed. This is what separates wraps that last 5+ years from ones that peel in 6 months.

3M & Avery Cast Vinyl

3M IJ180Cv3 and Avery MPI 1105 are cast films — they conform to curves and recesses without shrinking back. Calendered vinyl is cheaper but fails on compound curves. We only use cast.

Vehicle-Specific Templates

We design on manufacturer templates for 1,000+ makes and models. Your graphics are laid out to the exact body lines, handle cutouts, and emblem positions of your vehicle — not stretched to fit.

Fleet Volume Pricing

Fleet vehicle wraps cost less per unit — 10-20% off for 3+ vehicles. We coordinate design, production, and scheduling so your fleet rolls out with consistent branding on a predictable timeline.

OEM Paint Protection

Cast vinyl acts as a sacrificial barrier — it absorbs rock chips, UV exposure, and minor scratches instead of your factory paint. Remove the wrap in 3-7 years and the paint underneath looks like the day it was applied.

Vehicle Types We Wrap

Sedans & Small Cars ($2,500-$3,500)

  • Surface prep: Isopropyl alcohol wipe followed by clay bar treatment on all panels to remove contaminants
  • Panel count: 12-16 panels depending on body style — each one individually printed, laminated, and applied
  • Common clients: Real estate agents, insurance reps, mobile service providers

SUVs & Crossovers ($3,000-$4,500)

  • Larger panel area: More vinyl per panel, but fewer compound curves than sedans — cleaner installations
  • Rear window option: One-way perforated film for custom window graphics with interior visibility
  • Common clients: Real estate agencies, home service businesses, sales teams

Pickup Trucks ($3,000-$4,500)

  • Bed sides and tailgate: High-visibility panels that face following traffic directly
  • Cab vs. bed: We match color and finish across the cab-to-bed seam — a detail many shops miss
  • Common clients: Contractors, landscapers, electricians, plumbers

Vans – Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster ($3,500-$5,000)

  • Largest usable surface area: A Sprinter 170" has over 250 sq ft of wrappable surface
  • Rivets and corrugation: We use knifeless tape and detail work around rivets — no trimming against the body
  • Common clients: HVAC, plumbing, electrical contractors, delivery operations

Box Trucks & Trailers ($4,000-$6,000+)

  • Flat panel advantage: Large flat surfaces are faster to install and produce clean, visible graphics
  • Corrugated walls: Roll-up door and corrugated panels require specialized application techniques
  • Common clients: Moving companies, logistics operations, food service

Fleets (Volume Discounts Available)

  • Consistent output: Same color profile, same laminate, same installation process across every vehicle
  • 10-20% fleet discounts for 3+ vehicles
  • Coordinated scheduling: We stagger installs so your fleet stays operational during the wrap-out

Materials We Install

3M IJ180Cv3 Graphic Film

  • Film type: Cast vinyl — conforms to recesses and compound curves without shrinking back
  • Outdoor durability: 5-7 years on vertical surfaces with matched 8518 overlaminate
  • Adhesive: Comply™ air-release channels for bubble-free application
  • Removal: Clean removal with heat — does not leave adhesive residue on properly cured OEM paint

Avery Dennison MPI 1105 / Supreme Wrapping Film

  • Film type: Cast vinyl with Easy Apply RS™ technology for repositioning during install
  • Outdoor durability: 5-7 years vertical with DOL 1460 overlaminate
  • Color range: Available in 100+ solid colors and specialty finishes (satin, matte, carbon fiber texture)
  • Conformability: Excellent on deep channels and body lines

Overlamination (Included on Every Wrap)

Every printed wrap gets a matched overlaminate before installation:

  • UV protection: Blocks UV degradation of printed inks — critical in Orange County sun
  • Abrasion layer: Takes rock chips and road debris instead of the printed surface
  • Finish options: Gloss, satin, or matte — choose the look that fits your brand
  • Chemical resistance: Resists fuel splashes, bird droppings, and tree sap

Surface Prep Process

This is where most wrap failures originate — and where we spend the time other shops skip:

  1. Full wash: Hand wash with automotive soap to remove road film and loose dirt
  2. Clay bar treatment: Decontaminate paint surface — removes bonded contaminants that prevent adhesion
  3. Isopropyl alcohol wipe: 70% IPA on every panel immediately before application — removes residual wax, silicone, and oils
  4. Gasket and trim removal: Door handles, mirrors, gaskets removed where needed for clean wrap edges (reinstalled after)
  5. Surface inspection: Check for paint chips, rust, and body damage — we flag anything that could affect adhesion before starting

Skipping any of these steps leads to wrap failures. We don't skip them.

  • Vehicle-specific templates — we design on manufacturer body-line templates for 1,000+ makes and models, not generic outlines
  • Readability at speed — contact info is sized for legibility at 40-60 mph: minimum 4" tall lettering for phone numbers, 6"+ for primary messaging
  • Brand consistency — we match your existing collateral (business cards, website, signage) so the wrap reinforces recognition
  • Strategic placement — phone number on doors at driver eye level, URL on tailgate, logo on hood — based on where traffic sees your vehicle
  • Up to 2 design revisions included in wrap pricing

Complex projects or major revisions beyond the included rounds: $75/hour.

Wrap Care & Maintenance

Proper care keeps your wrap looking new for the full lifespan of the film:

Do

  • Hand wash with mild automotive soap and a microfiber wash mitt
  • Rinse top-down to avoid pushing dirt under edges
  • Park in shade or garage — reduces UV degradation, especially on horizontal panels (hoods, roofs)
  • Inspect edges monthly — catch any lifting early and we'll re-seal under warranty

Don't

  • No automatic car washes — spinning brushes catch edges and cause peeling
  • No pressure washers under 12 inches — keep the nozzle at least 12" from the surface and below 2,000 PSI
  • No citrus or petroleum-based cleaners — they break down adhesive and laminate
  • No abrasive wax compounds — use only wrap-safe products (3M Wrap Care or Avery Supreme Care)

Our Warranty

  • 2-year installation warranty — covers peeling, lifting, or edge failure caused by our workmanship
  • Free edge re-seals during warranty period — if an edge lifts, bring it in and we fix it
  • Manufacturer film warranty — 3M and Avery provide separate material warranties (5-7 years, conditions apply)

Fleet Pricing

Fleet vehicle wraps cost less per unit. Volume pricing for businesses wrapping 3+ vehicles:

  • 3-4 vehicles: 10% off total project
  • 5-9 vehicles: 15% off total project
  • 10+ vehicles: 20% off total project

Fleet benefits beyond pricing:

  • Same color profile and laminate across every vehicle — no color drift between installs
  • Staggered installation scheduling — your fleet stays operational
  • Design templates saved for future additions — new vehicles match existing wraps exactly
  • Priority scheduling for urgent fleet additions or replacements

Request a fleet quote for custom pricing.

File Preparation (If You Have Artwork)

Providing your own design files? Here's what we need for clean output:

  • Format: Vector files (AI, EPS) preferred — they scale to any panel size without quality loss
  • Resolution: 150 DPI minimum for photographic elements (vehicle wraps are viewed from 3+ feet, not 300 DPI like business cards)
  • Color mode: CMYK for accurate color reproduction on our Roland and HP Latex printers
  • Logo: Vector version (not a JPEG pulled from your website)
  • Fonts: Outlined or embedded — prevents substitution issues in production

Don't have artwork? Design is included in wrap pricing — up to 2 revisions on vehicle-specific templates.
