Overlamination (Included on Every Wrap)

Every printed wrap gets a matched overlaminate before installation:

Surface Prep Process

This is where most wrap failures originate — and where we spend the time other shops skip:

1. Full wash: Hand wash with automotive soap to remove road film and loose dirt
2. Clay bar treatment: Decontaminate paint surface — removes bonded contaminants that prevent adhesion
3. Isopropyl alcohol wipe: 70% IPA on every panel immediately before application — removes residual wax, silicone, and oils
4. Gasket and trim removal: Door handles, mirrors, gaskets removed where needed for clean wrap edges (reinstalled after)
5. Surface inspection: Check for paint chips, rust, and body damage — we flag anything that could affect adhesion before starting

Skipping any of these steps leads to wrap failures. We don't skip them.

Wrap Care & Maintenance

Proper care keeps your wrap looking new for the full lifespan of the film:

Do

• Hand wash with mild automotive soap and a microfiber wash mitt
• Rinse top-down to avoid pushing dirt under edges
• Park in shade or garage — reduces UV degradation, especially on horizontal panels (hoods, roofs)
• Inspect edges monthly — catch any lifting early and we'll re-seal under warranty

Don't

• No automatic car washes — spinning brushes catch edges and cause peeling
• No pressure washers under 12 inches — keep the nozzle at least 12" from the surface and below 2,000 PSI
• No citrus or petroleum-based cleaners — they break down adhesive and laminate
• No abrasive wax compounds — use only wrap-safe products (3M Wrap Care or Avery Supreme Care)

Our Warranty

• 2-year installation warranty — covers peeling, lifting, or edge failure caused by our workmanship
• Free edge re-seals during warranty period — if an edge lifts, bring it in and we fix it
• Manufacturer film warranty — 3M and Avery provide separate material warranties (5-7 years, conditions apply)

File Preparation (If You Have Artwork)

Providing your own design files? Here's what we need for clean output:

• Format: Vector files (AI, EPS) preferred — they scale to any panel size without quality loss
• Resolution: 150 DPI minimum for photographic elements (vehicle wraps are viewed from 3+ feet, not 300 DPI like business cards)
• Color mode: CMYK for accurate color reproduction on our Roland and HP Latex printers
• Logo: Vector version (not a JPEG pulled from your website)
• Fonts: Outlined or embedded — prevents substitution issues in production
