Forest Printing: a Laguna Hills print shop established in 1979

Forest Printing was established in 1979, and the Tran family purchased the business in 2006. Today the shop operates in Laguna Hills, helping Orange County businesses and organizations prepare their printed materials.

Illustrative print study; not a customer project.

For a customer, the useful part of a local print relationship is having a place to discuss the job: what needs to be printed, which version is current, what the proof should show and how the finished work will be handed over.

Start with the work you need

A business card, a set of NCR forms, a sign and an association mailing have different requirements. Bring the current artwork or a blank example, the quantity and the intended use. The shop can review the specification and confirm the proposed scope in a quote.

Explore business cards, NCR forms and packets, banners and signage or HOA printing and mailing for the relevant starting point.

Keep the specification and approval clear

Confirm the stock, size, finishing and proof requirements before production. For mailing work, include the components, preparation, postage and requested handoff in the discussion. Agree which stages are included and who is responsible for any outside production or preparation.

The approved proof and the agreed specification provide a reference for the work. If the scope or artwork changes, make those changes clear before approving the order.

Make repeat orders easier to explain

For a reorder, supply the previous job reference or approved blank artwork and identify what has changed. Quantities, contact details, inserts, stock and deadlines can change even when the request sounds like “the same again.” Confirm the current specification, price and schedule through your usual ordering process.

For practical preparation guidance, see the two-part versus three-part forms guide or the envelope checklist.

Print Quality: Paper, Ink & Resolution

Print quality depends on the interaction of the artwork, paper, ink or toner and production process. Check those parts together, using the intended size and a suitable proof, rather than judging the result from screen resolution alone.
